Oh wise ones, can someone help me find a travel firepit? DH has been hankering for one for a few years now so thought I'd bite the bullet and get one (WHERE IN THE CAR WILL IT GO!?!?!?) but I can't find the one I had found last year.

It was billed as a travel size, and came with a bag (maybe even a backpack?). It was the indian brazier style and was between 55 and 65 cm in diameter. So like this bit with a bag and I don't think it had the grill (though I wouldnn't say no to one obv)

If you search "folding fire pit" on Amazon, there's a few options.

I saw something like that a while ago - it was on either iwoot.com or firebox.co.uk.

Kadai.co.uk do a 'camping/travel' one with a carry bag. It looks the business.

We have the Hacienda firepit and the legs fold and because it's curved it seems to fit on top of everything else in the car in the curve of the roof.

Highly recommend it.

We have one we got from Dunelm Mill a few years ago. It has a bag that it fits into and I am not sure if they all do. Worth checking as it keeps it all neat and clean. Also shop around - Charlies Direct seems to have them for about £29.99 and they are similar on Ebay.

They are brilliant though and don't take up as much space as you would think.

Kadai! That's the word I was looking for.

Now I just have to think about sizes as the 35cm seems too small, like we would all have to sit very close together :)

Apologies, i thought I had posted this earlier but I was on my mobile and it must not have gone through.

DH is all about style over function, so while I appreciate how handy things like "being able to fit into the car" are, he does not and the gift must be one of the antiquey looking indian ones to match his aesthetic. "Kadai" was the key word that I was looking for though and I've found a few stores selling what I remembered.

So I've narrowed it down to this one from crocus and this one from Kadai. The Crocus has no bag, but I could make one, but it does seem shorter so maybe better on the packing front. And less liable to tip over. Do you think campsites will find it too close to the ground though?
