We haven't even bought the tent yet Grin but will do so this weekend. I am a little bit excited and had some good advice on here, as usual :)

Can you recommend me a camp site in this sort of area, it has to be dog friendly. If it has facilities such as a swimming pool then even better but not essential, its just that it is on DD's wish list.

We are looking to go away for a few days at the end of next week, possibly Saturday through Monday so hoping as its the end of half term (DD has inset days) that there will be some availability.

If no recommendation, some advice on what to look out for would be much appreciated.

If you look on PitchUp.Com you can search by area and add a filter for indoor swimming pool or outdoor swimming pool, and check dog friendly in the features menu.

Sites with pools tend to be the more holiday park type sites.

Sites which ban large single sex groups or groups with a teen average age will be sites that maintain a quieter more family atmosphere. Free hot showers are good - pay showers are a pain.

It all depends on what you want. Check they allow BBQs if that is important to you, do you want a club house / bar, or a more wild and rural vibe?

Thanks, was just looking on there - there is a big difference in price isn't there.

You have to look carefully at pricing - sometimes it looks expensive but that is per pitch for the whole family, sometimes it looks cheap and then you have to add ££ for each adult and child etc.

Check out reviews on UKCampsite for any sites you are interested in.

Check out Wilksworth farm near Wimborne! It's fantastic, gorgeous heated outdoor pool, spotless bathrooms also heated floors.. Lovely play areas and cafe!
