Eurocampers - help!

Thinking of doing a eurocamp holiday this summer to Paris. I have 3 dcs - 7,4,3. Will I survive? It will mean ALOT of travelling in car, and not sure how much should be budgeted for food as always done all inclusive? Plan on staying 9 days!

Any tips appreciated!

Suppose the food depends on how often they will eat Pasta n Sauce and Hot Dogs

We have been to L'Atlantique in Brittany. We drove and stayed in a 3 bed mobile home.

The campsite was very clean. Nice bakery and shop. Quiet after about 10. Pools complex was good, well maintained. Got a bit busy in the afternoons on a hot day.

You could walk to the beach through a little nature reserve or nice ride on bikes. Beach was very quiet - no development at all - ie no facilities or food/drink. But beautiful.

This is based on camping, not Eurocamping. For food, I would budget something like your normal weekly food budget x 2, plus alcohol. Obviously it's possible to spend just your normal weekly budget plus a bit for ice creams, but if you are used to all inclusive I wouldn't be as restrictive as that.

This does slightly depend on whether your normal food budget involves watering down the skimmed milk and eking out the soy mix with a few lentils, or whether you would normally eat out a couple of times a week and whether you plan to eat out either at the campsite or at restaurants elsewhere, and how much.

Friends who drive to campsites say that they spend a lot of time on the journey - like two nights each way - rather than exhaust themselves trying to do it quicker.

Have you thought of booking direct with campsite rather than through eurocamp? We did it last year and saved £200 on a week which was a big dent in food etc
