Campfires, with a playground, showers and toilets. No too big.

If so I did a post recently, which covers the Netherlands a little.

We loved camoing in the Netherlands - 3 weeks last summer.

Amstelkade, South of Amsterdam probably fits your bill. Playground, fire pits to borrow and wood to buy, small children's farm and nice cafe. No cars on site and go carts to play with, as well as den building area. River just outside xampsite good for swimming. Lovely place.

We also stayed at a site called Padang on Texel - probably a bit too small an in-developed for you, but I would definitely recommend Texel if you like easy cycling and a laid back time at the beach. Camping De Roos near Ommen in the East was our third site. Vast, but well deserving of its place as a cool camping site.
