Dordogne in early June

What's the weather like? We're looking at eurocamp and tents are coming up dirt cheap but not sure if it'll be warm enough really (at night in particular).

DDs will be 3 and 1 plus me and DH.

Would early September be warmer?

We were in the Dordogne very late August last year and the weather was beautiful into early September for the sunbirds just arriving as we headed back for school and work. We were in the Loire in late May and it rained almost solidly for a week. That said in 2009 or so we were in the Vendee in mid June and had absolutely beautiful weather for 10 days. Personally I would go for first week of Sept (but don't blame me if the weather then is pants but its great in JuneSmile )

Ha ha thanks!!

We camped in Provence in late June a few years back and whilst it scorchio during the day, it was pretty chilly at night.

We camped at Mathevies near Sarlat in June 3 years ago. It rained quite a lot but when the sun came out it was hot. We wouldn't go to that region so early in the summer again.

We regularly go to stay with family in the Dordogne at that time of year, and last year was lovely at the start of June. Plenty warm enough to be swimming in the outdoor, unheated pool (with my then 2 year old and 8month old) but not so hot that you can't do anything.
