Bell tent advice?

Does anyone have a recommendation for which bell tent's best? I've heard that ones made of canvas are a pain to dry out if you de-rig in the rain, but haven't seen any that are made of anything else... anyway, any advice much appreciated Grin

Any tent is a pain to dry out after a wet decamp! Bells are heavier and might take a little longer to dry is the difference.

They do polyester pretend bell tents but they look awful very different to canvas ones.

We have a 5m ZIG from belltent.co.uk and it's great, other places do slightly different features (heavier canvas, bug screen doors, different grade of fireproofing etc) but it depends on your own priorities. Lots of places will be out of stock at this time of year also.

Good luck Smile

Thanks Grin it is more of a long term hankering, we're planning a camping trip in Spain next year, and I want to have a really good investigate before I buy anything. I thought mn would be the place to start looking for advice and recommendations.

And you're advice pleases me as I have a know it all friend insisting the non canvas ones are great, but I prefer the look of the canvas, and reckon they'd be better in the heat/cold whatever..

Ours is from belltent.co.uk as well. We have a 4m without a sewn in groundsheet, but with a sleeping compartment. I would be very reluctant to go without the "bedroom". especially after the rain came inside the main tent last week Shock

We love ours, and find it dries easily in an afternoon, but we are lucky enough to be able to put it up in the garden at home to dry.

oh, ours is canvas
