Do any of you have one for camping?
Lidl have them for 7.99 from next Wednesday/thurs.

No. I reckon by the time you found it and got it working, the tent would be no more. There's not much substance to a tent is there.

Better to grab your kids/money/passport and get out.

You're better off having a fire bucket just outside. So if there's a fire the priority is everyone out. Then you pick the bucket of water up and try and sling it at the fire.

The last thing you want to be doing in a burning tent is staying inside and fiddling with a fire extinguisher.

OK - thank you. Makes sense.
Do I need one for the van for driving over?

Depends on your van. I used to have an old vw camper van and I kept one by the drivers door. They're prone to engine fires.

If I had a modern transit, etc i probably wouldn't bother.

Old VW Camper - I wish!

Thanks for your advice!
