Bell tent peg help

We are going to Womad this weekend and we bought a secondhand 5 metre bell tent. It didn't come with pegs. My husband went out and bought some plastic pegs - I'm concerned that they won't be strong enough. Can anyone advise? Also how many pegs in total will we need?

We were going to take it to the park for a practice run this afternoon but then the storm started.

Thanks in advance.

These are the ones he bought www.halfords.com/camping-car-seats/camping-caravanning/tent-accessories-spares/halfords-plastic-power-tent-pegs-10-pack

You'll get by for a weekend I should think as long as the ground is soft. For a little bell tent I'd be more concerned about the number he bought, you may need a few more.

I'd be tempted to pop into argos on the way if I were you just for peace of mind and buy this!

Our 5m SIG bell uses 15 pin pegs (the thin metal ones) for the tent and 14 stake pegs (the flat metal ones) for the guys. Of course if your tent is a PIG or ZIG you will need double the number of pegs for the tent/groundsheet. It should be easy enough to pick up some metal pegs somewhere.
