Outwell collapsible bucket - worth it?

Just contemplating picking one when I nip into Halfords for gas before heading off tomorrow.. Are they any good? Can imagine join between rigid plastic and silicone being a weak spot, but am such a sucker for a gadget that am still tempted. I like the idea of a lid, to stop DS3 (16 months) from using it as a water-play area the entire time..

We were gassing about these on here the other day - I wonder what you'd use it for? If it's anything like the collaps kettle and cooking pot (which are brilliant I may add) you'd have to be pretty careful not to put any weight on it whatsoever if you were using it as a porta-potty

Ha! Although that wasn't my intention (just wanted a general hand-washing etc station) I can quite imagine it getting pressed into service as a porta-loo when a DC is desperate at 3am (though as they're all boys, hopefully less likely to sit..). Hadn't thought much about them collapsing mid-use, which given young age of all DSs could be an issue even when just hand-washing - shall prob just get a normal bucket for 1/10th of the price..

Yeah.. Disappointed that the washing up bowl I ordered hasn't made it here on time, despite having ordered a week ago boo...

It's always a good idea to have a fire bucket outside the tent...

Ours has been known to be filled with bottles of milk and tins of Pimms. And soaking pans when I was single and did the cooking myself.
