Icey trek question

Am I being thick or do you literally use ice cubes all around your food to keep this thing cold? Came today, red, and utterly beautiful!

We bought two of the big gel packs from the same supplier and they do a great job of keeping everything cold but tbh the icey tek is so super insulated that you could use your usual ice blocks and they will keep it cold. It's a good
idea to pre-chill the day before, saving up old milk cartons and freezing water in them. We took frozen milk and juice in them to France last year and they were still well frozen when we got there, 2 days after leaving home!
