Standard vs self inflating air mattresses

I am bored of replacing air mattresses as they constantly seem to break. Does anyone recommend the thinner self inflating kind or are they too firm?

We've got a fab Outwell Self Inflating one that I love. Daughter prefers normal blow up airbeds but we find them not as supportive as the thinner ones.

We've just got three self inflating ones from the Costco website for £30 each (no need to be a member) and they look great. They're pretty thick (7.5cm) but roll up quite small. I'm hoping for more warmth, less rocking, fewer punctures and less rolling out as I get pushed aside by DH and DS.

Trying them this weekend for the first time but the living room floor was very comfortable.

Thanks, I shall look out for the Outwell ones, others have mentioned Outwell. Good luck

Droogie - we got the Costco ones at the end of last year and have used them twice so far this year. Much more comfortable than the air beds - though they do take up more room in car. Now looking to purchase roof box!
