After weeks of dithering and indecision over getting a red 25l or 40l I PROMISED myself I would order today.
I've just bottled it.

I still can't decide.

Please someone help me!!
The deciding factor is simply - can you stand a 2 pint plastic standard supermarket carton/bottle of milk upright in the 25l. This info seems to not exist on the internet!

Can anyone here tell me? Will be seriously grateful as panicking they'll sell out!

According to Coolboxes UK site

Inside Dimensions (mm):
Length: 300 x Height: 270 x
Width: 300

I've just measured a 2 pint in my fridge and it is 25cm tall

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Eternally grateful! Grin

but you can't stand a bottle of wine up in it apparently . So we went for the 40l

whatwouldaudreydo · 14/07/2014 17:40

I did it! Finally Grin

Red 25l ordered. Can't wait!

Well done!

I procrastinated far too long and have to wait until Autumn for the next batch of orange - but spoke to the lovely Julia at Coolboxes UK and I could get a mango as special order (they're no longer a stock colour). So just when I thought I'd finally made up my mind on colour!!!!

I discovered another, brilliant use for my new icey-tek today; to bung all the grocery delivery cold stuff in until you have time to sort it/make room in the fridge. Superb. Anyway the enormous quantities of food I managed to stash in my 25l icey-tek this morning (still beautifully cold, naturally) include a standard 2 pint milk bottle. Love it more than ever... We had my DS's birthday party today, so I desperately needed some extra fridge space and was so grateful when my new box-wonder came to the rescue...

SalomeD I feel your pain with the dithering/missing out, I've been prevaricating over buying a rebel or pioneer grill for ages, only to discover (once I'd decided that I REALLY needed the pioneer) that they've sold out, with no new stock in the horizon at ALL. Sob. Am a bit envious over the possibility of a mango icey-tek, (don't tell my tangerine)... That said I did wonder (when trying to decide on tang or canary) whether yellows might attract all those wee black bugs, and possibly wasps? Just a thought, from a jealous mango-coveter Grin

Pioneer grills sold out? I wonder if any of the campsites that sell them have any in stock? The Forgewood / Camping Unplugged chain, for example?

Give them a ring!

beckym8678 · 14/07/2014 21:02

Ooh thanks Blu, shall do that. It's a problem with the american suppliers apparently, and they're even considering finding someone to make them here... Nice idea, but I'd be a bit wary of new suppliers until they've had a chance to get it right! All they have left is a few pot-danglers - nice, but no grill...

TheFantasticMrsFox · 14/07/2014 21:34

Ah, the procrastination :o
We dithered for ages, taking more time over the purchase of a cold box than we ever have over any car we have ever bought :o
Eventually we settled on white (neutral, retro looking, the only colour we weren't about to divorce over) only for it to have a manufacturing fault so it needed to be returned. The lovely Julia asked if we wanted another white one so I scandalously pulled rank and ordered red while DH was at work :o

CelticPromise · 14/07/2014 21:40

Damn I have mango envy too. I do love my tangerine though, but it should really be called tomato...

beckym8678 · 14/07/2014 22:05

I personally spent at least 4x longer deciding on Icey-tek details than on the purchase of our current house (no exaggeration).

Just checked Camping Unplugged website blu, and they're all out of Campfire Grills too, boooooo...

Blu · 14/07/2014 22:12

becky - any friends or relatives visiting the states this summer?

True Woe!

(I have the Rebel - but in truth I think the Pioneer is best)

beckym8678 · 14/07/2014 22:27

They're even out of stock there!! These are major supply issues. I can see one (a rebel) on eBay, from Germany, for £76, and that's IT. I bet you'll hold yours extra close, next time you take it out...
