Title says it all really. I'm going round in circles trying to find a good one. I fancy a field on a farm, lots of space, things for the kids to play on, but not necessarily a playground. Does anyone have any suggestions. I really don't want one where the tents are packed together.

Sorry for abrupt OP, I'm getting frustrated!

Hideaway at Baxby Manor is very good, but maybe a bit too far away from your preferred areas.

Howgill Lodge. Not far from Skipton. There's a big field at the bottom of the site where they tend to put families, lots of space, cows in the next field. Small shop, good facilities, local pub not far and a short trip away from Bolton Abbey. It's great!

Thank you , I'll have a look at both of them. I've heard of Hideaway, not sure why I have nt looked at it more closely -maybe because of location. I'm willing to compromise on location if the campsite is right and there are still things to do off site.

How about Nidderdale?

Studfold farm close to Pateley bridge meant to be good for families.

And Howstean does camping too just outside the same village - less plush I think but know the fella that runs it and he's lovely! howstean.co.uk/camping/

Horton in Ribblesdale has a farm site, only has a toilet and shower, big field next to a river. Don't go to the one in the village. I think its crag hall
Nice one at Cononley
Both less busy and less touristy than Bolton Abbey
