Camp beds

Trying to find something comfortable for dd & me. I have an inflatable but the last time we shared that we rolled together all night. I'm wondering about camp beds with legs? Or an inflatable with the two separate areas?

I had wondered about a camp bed with a mattress on top now to find the cash!!

I need to revisit my sleeping arrangements. I sleep on a double air bed with dh. He is tall and not of small build, I was bouncing all over the place and still pretty chilly even though it was scorching during the day.
I was thinking of self inflating mattresses or campbed/SIM combo.

2 single air beds- no bounce when the other rolls over - learned from bitter experience!

Ah didn't think of that!

SIM every time. Comfortable and warm. DH swears he sleeps better camping than at home :-)

Just ordered a 10cm SIM & a 5cm memory foam topper please tell me this will be comfy or I'm never camping again!!

I am at my wits end with finding something comfy to sleep on! I've tried airbeds (too bouncy) a wadded, partly inflated mat (really really bad) and am contemplating an inflating mat now. Can anyone suggest a good brand that will not partly deflate in the night leaving me with painfully cold hips...please!!

I've just bought a double 10cm SIM& a roll of memory foam to put on top. It's amazingly comfy!!

That sounds excellent! Does the memory foam take up much boot space? We have SIMs and I do sleep really well but that sounds better....

HexBramble · 21/06/2014 23:17

OP where did you get your memory foam topper?

DoristheCamel · 23/06/2014 07:42

Am I the only person that does not get Sims?
My airbed popped Thursday evening but a friend I was with had a spare Sim which I used Fri and Sat night. Narrow cold and uncomfortable. It was fairly thick and she said she paid almost a £100 for it!Shock Shock

Am desperate to find a good bed for camping.

letsplaynice · 23/06/2014 19:14

The two take up an ikea bag plus about the same sticking out the top I can get away with it as have the whole car for just me&dd. I found both on Amazon.

My 10cm SIM seems like it'd be comfy enough without the topper but why slum it!!

Camp beds with legs are comfy and warm as they are off the ground. You can remove the legs and roll them up so they don't take up much space.
