Back from a very enjoyable first weekends camping with one extremely wet tent. DP has to go away for work tonight so its slightly stretched out in garage until he returns (Thursday?) and we can pith to dry weather permitting in garden. Its outwell amarillo polyester I think? Is my new favorite toy going to be ruined in that time????

My DH and ds back from wet weekend in Derbyshire, luckily weather allowed DH to dry it in garden on washing line yesterday.Should think it will be fine and will probably dry to a large degree in the garage. But definitely get it out in the garden ASAP to ensure its longevity! Try and turn it over if possible to give it breathing space on each side.
Where were you? Did you suffer the storm in the midlands too?

We were at hidden springs in east Sussex, never stopped raining yesterday, lovely Sunday, shower Saturday. Still had a really lovely time but everything is soaked

Do you have a humidifier that you can switch on the garage to draw some of the water out? Might help

Thursday now so DH can help sort the drying out?! (-:

If possible...is it dry with you?...pitch it again and let the air blow through the doorways. Once you get mould it's really difficult to get rid of it. Watered down Milton is the best remedy but even then some marks will remain. Remember and dry the underneath as you roll it back up!!

It's the biggest blips with packing up. Hope you managed to sort it. Once the tent is mouldy it's hellish to put right again!

we got it up and dried today phew. it was still quite wet and there was the beginning of a fusty smell even though it had been stretched out in garage. dried in the sun for the hours and all good. really hope it doesn't rain add much on next trip.
