Camping in Snowdonia

Can anyone recommend a campsite in the Snowdonia region? EHU is essential and a playground on site would be great.

Most of the campsites recommended on cool camping are further south & I was keen to take my DS (7) to Mount Snowdon.

Plus, is there a lot to do with kids in Snowdonia?

Beddgelert is in walking distance and has the steam train stop at the site if you want the easy route!

I haven't been but bookmarked it from reviews here as one to try & visit this year. Loads for the kids on site.

Thanks Milliways. I was actually looking at this campsite yesterday. My concern is that I need EHU and the website is not very clear whether this is on a grass or hardstanding pitch. I also tried to find a campsite map but failed miserably in my search.

I'm pondering & considering south wales as going to Snowdonia seems an awful long way away!

I've stayed at that campsite, London. I'm sorry but I can't remember what the EHU for tents are like - we were in the camping field. I do remember that the facilities were great... and that the midges were bloody awful.

There's lots to do in Snowdonia! Aside from mountain biking, climbing, Snowdon etc, there are castles and beaches and railways. And Portmerion, if that's your thing.

When we wanted a posh site within reach of Snowdonia we stayed in near Criccieth. (We actually left Beddgelert to go there as I'd been bitten to death).
