Anyone used a Wonderbag yet?

I really fancy one of these to use when I'm camping. I'm a devoted user of my slow cooker at home and on self-catering holidays but I'm intrigued about the Wonderbag as a camping alternative. Do they really manage to cook a stew till the meat is tender?

Make your own.

I did a thread about this a while ago. I'll try and find it.

Arse.

Can't find it.

I basically made my own out of a collapsible plastic crate, fleece camping blankets, and a trivet in the bottom to put the pot on.

Made dish in the morning, brought it up to the boil and kept it on a strong simmer for 5-10 mins, then put it it in the nest of blankets, left it for the day and put it back in the stove to bring it back up to piping hot before serving. Worked a treat. Trying to remember what stuff I cooked. Not big cuts of meat, more like stews, bolognese, that sort of thing.

I ruled out buying a wonder bag as they are quite big.

Google straw box to find ideas on making your own.
