I know this has been done before but I can't find a recent 'please help me find a new camping chair' thread.

So requirements; I'd like the back to be high enough to rest my head on, no uncomfy bar at the back of the legs, enough room to tuck my feet under me since... well I always do.

DH (having assessed available space in the car) requires that, when folded, it takes up about as much space as a walnut whip, so make it a good one please ladies as I'll be dumping toys, essential kitchen items and potentially a child to fit it in...

Ooh yes I have one for you!! It's called a 'Coleman sling' apparently the best compromise between size & comfort. I had mine for Mother's Day and have yet to use it properly, but I'm pleased with it having used in the garden

Oooh, thanks shiraz, I haven't seen that one about and the reviews on Amazon seem good too. Hmmmm... to order now or not to order now... I've let them talk me into camping next weekend...brrrrrrrrrrr.

We have these, they are comfy and fit well in our car because they fold flat(ish). Not sure you could fold your legs under you in them. I like them because they recline.
I think those Coleman ones look really good though and should fold really nice and small. Can't agree more about a bar across the seat under your legs, Sooooo uncomfortable!

One downside of my chair is the lack of cupholder so have ordered these. Seem v solid and only short so fits under your chair to stop being kicked over
