... that now uses Mumsnet by checking out the Travel: Camping section before reading anything else?

Also, my "help" to just about anyone's problem at the moment seems to be "how about a nice camping break, you'll love it..."

Hmm. Is there a 12-step programme?

dunno, but if you find one put me onto it!

We are packing for a camping exped away this weekend!

Oooo ... lucky you. We've just come back from one - hoping to get another weekend in early September, but starting to feel really glum that I'll have to pack everything away until May.

Good grief, sparkler, that's keen!

We're off early in the morning too - but to visit grandparents, not camp. Hope you all have a fab weekend and that the weather is kind

We've just checked the forecast for the week - lots of showers and one day of heavy rain . Ah well - as long as we get the tent up dry - we can deal with anything else that comes our way.

My top tip - take baseball caps and wear under raincoat hood - keeps the rain off your face (and glasses if you wear them) and makes it much more bearable.
