Connecting two tents..

So we're still on the lookout for new tents one large weeklong affair and a smaller weekend one. I was just thinking that rather than get a huge tent that takes hours to put up we could get two smaller tents and somehow link them together so dcs have their own space. Does anyone else do this?

I think quencha (??) do something that might suit your needs.

Yep. Have a look at the Quechua base tents, you can add either small two man tent pods or put a couple of base tents together, or both of the above. Or combine with the Quechua 4.2 family pop up tent. Very flexible system. So quick to put up. We use a base tent as a freestanding living space with our camper van and add a two man tent as extra storage space. Can get it all set up in 15 mins. Google it and you'll see some images that make a bit more sense of this!

How old are the DCs? DS, with or without friend, has been in his own tent since he was 9.
