Anywhere nice to camp within 20 miles of Bedford?

good god, they are about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard - just as i suspected form the canvas type people. all wound up in their new electric hook up i suspect

Emberton or Billing Aquadrome are close - can't say what they are like as have never been to either

I wouldn't really recommend either of them, having lived near both. Over towards Cambridge would be better IMO.

If you don't mind being a bit further away you could camp at Wickstead Park (kettering), it's straight down the A6 and your in the centre of bedford.

I would have also suggested Emberton and Billing - Hi Iota!

Thank you, The ConsideredCustardo, for rallying the campers! I thoght thay had maybe gone off camping.

I need somewhere for a North / South family rendezvous with relatives attending an event in Bedford - is there a campsite at Wickstead Park? Cambridge way would be ok, too - or maybe North of Bedford with easy access to A1 or M1.

billing would probably be you best bet.its about a 30 minute drive to bedford from there.its not a bad place to camp.im in luton and we go for a weekend up there in the summer with our tent.not too expensive either and they have lots on site even a funfair.
