We had the most fantastic time camping last year in France. We went to a small (mainly climbers) site in Fontainbleau, then onto Troyes (big glitzy one). Trying to plan this year. We will go over on the tunnel and back to Fontainbleau just below Paris. Desperately trying to find another site as will have two or three stops. Looking for a small (ish) site, with pool or swim able river. Needs to be no lower than Troyes so we can do a loop back round to Amiens and back to Calais. Really enjoy walking into the local village for bread and shop etc. not really into kids clubs or evening entertainment... Any ideas? Struggling a bit as looking at so many online. Found loads that fit the bill but to far away.
