what do you put your disposable bbqs on to stop them ruining the grass? I melted my backpackers table, like a fool last time cos I couldn't find any bricks or stones, anyone?

The ones I bought recently from Tesco had a stand with them, a wire frame thing to hold it about two inches off the ground. Maybe some do and some don't.

Those stands didn't work for us. We were told loads of tin foil, but I don't see hwo that would help. Maybe keep a couple of bricks in the car?

Take an old cake cooling rack.

I had great success with a disposable bbq stand I bought from Amazon. It had a windshield as well and was called... BBQ Snug
Good luck

We have a more permanant cheap BBQ from Asda of all places which is raised from the ground. It is super strong so can be used as a fire pit too. Think it was a tenner. Bargain of the CENTURY

I would get a fold flat portable barbecue (if space is the issue) as it has it’s own legs and they cook far better, as the charcoal is further from the food. More economical in the long run (not very long) And more environmentally friendly.
