How do campsites charge?

Thinking of buying a tent but tell me, do campsites charge according to square metres a tent takes up; number of people in tent; or number of bedrooms? What might I expect to pay for a pitch for 2 adults & 2 kids, 3 bedroom tent in a popular area in summer season?

Usually a per person charge plus a rate for tent caravan, car etc. Also some charge for additional stuf like leccy or removal of waste. Best bet is to check websites of caravan sites near where you are considering. These days most have some web presence and you can at minimum get the phone number and ask them.
