what do you do when its raining and the kids are bored. We had a caravan and sold it for a few reasons really mostly that it made journeys longer (cos of speed limits and only being able to use two lanes on motorway), and it was difficult to get our disabled son in and out of. We used to have a tent but to be honest we were fairweather campers. I know the weather is lovely at the moment, but as we all know, summer is short in the uk. so back to my point, does it not get claustraphobic in the tent when the weathers bad and you have exhausted the wet days out options.

Pretty much what you would do if you were in some swanky pad in Cornwall - put a DVD on! a portable DVD player and EHU is a godsend for such times - although you'd be surprised just how little time needs to be spent in the tent.

get your waterproofs on and get out there, the kids don't mind the rain......or if it's really bad at £20 a night, you can cut your losses and come home!
