Cornwall Campsite recommendations

Hello,

I'd love to get campsite recommendations for Cornwall. We had our first ever camping trip this summer and we all loved it! My thoughts are turning to summer 2014 and we would like to go to Cornwall. We want to camp for a 1 week and be near a beach. We would like to have EHU & please don't shoot me down but I guess this is one of the reasons that our camping trip was so enjoyable. Evenings were so cold and it was lovely switching on the fan heater to warm us up before going to bed Blush
Not sure whether it's relevant, but I have a 5 man tent and will be using our awning so I think we would need a large or extra large plots. I'm willing to spend up to £30 per night but would love it to be cheaper.
I'd love it if you can make recommendations as I'm clueless on how to go about finding a nice campsite in such a large area!

go to www.ukcampsite.co.uk and join for free. I got LOADS of help when we started camping eight years ago.

Mother Ivey's Bay is pricey but worth it imo.

Also Caravan and Camping Club. You make savings on site fees if you join, but you don't have to be a member. There are quite a selection of good sites around Crantock and the beach there is beautiful for families. On UKCS site you can locate a site near where you wish to visit, and get factual opinions as to the site qualities from members reviews.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will try and join the UKcampsites.

Polka, I have looked at Mothers Ivy Bay campsite, I can't find their trarrifs online. I have emailed them & hopefully I will get a reply back soon.

Is it worth joining the Caravan & camping club? I will need have to look at the fees associated with that.

Trewan Hall in fantastic here the owner was so helpful! beautiful site! great facilities for the children, near Wadebridge, Padstow and local beaches. When we went, couple of years ago, the owner booked local bands in the evening which was just great.

Thank you Sprout I've made a spreadsheet with all of these recommendations and I will look at their websites this weekend. Im exited even though we are not going until next August!
