about £20 a night on camp site and usually we have cereals and sandwiches as we haven't got an cooking kit we then get take away or bbq for tea, But only usually go for two to three nights. So approx 20 on food a day. Can do it alot cheaper if you have all the cooking kit ect. Camp site prices really vary depenting on what facilities ect. hope that helps.

Often we spend about 10-12 per night for a family of 5 on the smaller campsites with fewer facilities. £20 is for the bigger, more commercial campsites.

We eat out quite a lot when camping as we have 3 small children and don't want the camping to be too much of a chore, so that can add up for us. But otherwise we just cook and eat simple things like pasta, or egg and beans, or sandwiches and fruit. which can be very cheap.

£20 a night seems to be going rate for most of the 'nice' sites, we can usually get electricty for that as well. We do like sites that have clean modern toilets and showers but no entertainment, I think you may pay more for that sort of site.

Food, about £10-£15 a day averaged over the holiday, we do cereal (or bacon!) for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch as we are always out, then a barbie / simple meal at the tent / fish and chips for tea. I go to the local shop when we get there to buy food and the supermarket too.

Really you can spend much less if you take food with you, go on a more basic site and don't drink as much wine as we do!
That's the joy of camping, you can still do it on a really small budget.
