Happy holidays!! Two weeks today I will be starting my hols in Greenwich and I will have babysitters as my pil are coming too - yay nights out in London for dh & me!

marthamoo · 08/07/2006 15:03

We're going next weekend. In our New Tent. Did I mention our New Tent ?

Pfer · 08/07/2006 15:58

Can't wait till we go in about 6 weeks time. In our used once by us 3 weeks ago tent - we got a Vango Diablo 600 a month ago - does a grand job. Love camping as even though the kids are always excited and mental they sleep so much better than they do when we've stopped in B&B's.

Hurray for Camping!! I love Ray Mears!!

We are going camping in 3 weeks' time. Haven't bought a tent yet as I can use one from the organisers (Woodcraft Folk). I suppose if we bought one, though, DH might come with us next time.

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 08/07/2006 16:24

And me! I'll be pitching, to be exact (given that there's a ferry involved I have to be exact)....YAY!

Spent part of today at the camping centre in raglan . Great tent display (not getting a new tent- love mine- but if anything happened to it the Wynnster Indus 10 is nice- same size as ours but fly first SIG). And we have decided on a SunnCamp aluminium table with padded benches, lovely they are- very comfy.

But please don't outbid me for the one on ebay, not on my birthday!

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 08/07/2006 16:25

(pfer your tent is exactlys ame us ours, albeit different makes. Nice aren't they?)

CristinaTheAstonishing · 08/07/2006 20:04

Happy Birthday, PC. How old? (OK, you don't have to answer this one.)

moondog · 08/07/2006 20:07

Where to this time MB
I was telling my father about your experiences with midges in beddgelert and he reckons that campers quite often come up to the village at odd hours begging for rooms (any price) as they can't stand the torment any longer.

Blandmum · 08/07/2006 20:12

South-ish Wales this time....Newcastle emlyn. I am determined to get my kids in touch with their Welsh Roots over the year!

re the midges. They were rough, but I am made of tough stuff and am used o being bitten to hell and back, so travel with antihistamines etc.

LOL at your dad's comments.

Beautiful area, tell him, and worth the bites to see it all, and also to realise just how welsh I am , even after 25 years living in England!

Mercy · 08/07/2006 20:20

Our new tent arrived this week - a Montana 4!

Bouhght from Blacks for a great discount after a great tip from Janbo(?).

Not going until late August though.

SlightlyFamiliarPeachyClair · 09/07/2006 11:33

33, not embarrased at all- quite happy to be.

Tweezerqueen · 09/07/2006 19:16

We are off on our first camping trip next Sunday! We have a new tent, never been used, can't wait, thanks for the midges tip, will get the citronella and B vitamins going!!

Please pray for sunshine in the Lake District on Sunday!

Tweezerqueen - what tent is it, how many does it sleep? I'm thikning about getting one, not too expensive, for 2 adults + 2 children.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 11/07/2006 09:56

1 week today until my virgin camping trip!

Im VERY excited but also a bit scared lol

Fingers crossed the weather stays nice!

LucyCampCat · 11/07/2006 09:59

Where are you going jarm?

Tweezerqueen · 12/07/2006 12:45

Staying at Langdale site. Think we have a coleman tent, not too sure as left it up to DH to purchase. I am v nervous and a tad worried about the whole food thing tho reckon we can survive on egg sandwiches!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 12/07/2006 13:48

Im off to Priory Meadows in Ipswich - not too far from home jsut in case things go horribly wrong with 2 under 2 to deal with lol

If we like it and kids likle it, we are lookingto go a bit further afield in august
