Hello camping folk, We were supposed to be going on hol with some friends staying at a family home of theirs and they've just called to say it all off now. We can't afford a big holiday, so thought we'd dust off the tent instead, so thought of Sandy Ball - but it's totally booked up for the school hols. We are looking at the first week of Aug ie. w/c 31st July.

We've only ever been to the sort of campsite that don't have much other then a kids play area, but thought it would be good for them to have a bit more. Do any of you have a recommendation? We are in Surrey and don't want to have too long a journey, so probably stay down south rather then venturing op north.

Northam Farm is nice and I have heard Warren Farm is nice, both in Brean Sands and both have really good websites.

Been to Northam Farm and am going this year in July or August. It is a clean, family run site with excellent shower facilities. We like it as the beach is just over the road and decent family pub, leisure park, shops all within easy walking distance and there are a lot of places that you can visit from there on 20-30mins by car, wookey hole, cider farms etc. I have not been to Warren Farm but have heard it is a great site (I think it is booked up already for a lot of the summer hols) and looks to have a few more facilities on site.

manor farm

close to town centre, has a small kid friendly farm which mine will love when we go at the end of the hols for a weekend (loads to do in area, go for the last week of hols for carnival week)
