Tents

Can anyone recommend a tent that is suitable for 3+ people? I would prefer one that an adult can stand in, the old fashioned type with seperate bedrooms but I am a single parent and will need to be able to put it up quite quickly as I will also have to be watching my 2 under 5's at the same time. Is this asking the impossible for a reasonable price?

Thanks

Most old style frame and canvas tents are now quite pricy there are some more modern alternatives. What sort of price range?

these are all quite nice

Thanks MB there was one in Aldi on special last week for £60 which was a six berth.Am assuming it's probably not fab but to be honest I can't afford a lot more which was why I thought I was being optimistic. It's the putting up and taking down on my own that worries me. If you know about tents is it ok to do or does it solely depend on the tent?

tents do vary in how long they take to put. Few are quite as complicated as the old frame tents used to be

it really does depend on the tent, your best bet is to try to keep the little ones in the car (bribe with tapes & sweets if need be) while you at least get the basics up, you will find that other campers are more than willing to come and help you put the tent up, how about going with a friend so you can get the basics done together?

This site is cheaper for brand name tents - eg sunncamp vario 5 and 6 are just £135 and £155 in the special offer section and the colemans are around £20 cheaper for the 2006 models! (p&p is free too)
