Hello fellow campers!
Am new to this site with just a little experience of camping. I would be very grateful for any of your expertise.

I have two dd's - ages 2 & 5, 1 dog and a dp.
I am looking into buying a new tent but am wondering where on earth to put the dog. He is only 7 months and so this summer will be his first camping experience.
I was looking into getting a 2-room tent...but should I look at three rooms and give young pup his own? Sounds a bit much to me but don't want to regret not getting it.

What do any of you other dog-owning campers do?

PS He's a medium/biggish dog - collie crossed with retriever.

BUMP!!

Someone else must have a dog they take camping with them?!

Sorry -no answer but we have a 10 month old dog due to come camping with us for the first time this August in our 2 bedroom tent and I hadn't really thought the whole thing through.

I guess I'll break the no dogs on bed rules and let her sleep at my feet.

lots of sites will accept them, websites etc will give deltails if they do or not. You will beed to get a spike to tether him to...IYSWIM, most camps wil not let dogs roam free

Looks like we're in the same boat Shimmy21! Think we'll probably end up doing that too. Just imagine the luverly smell of dog breath and stale bodies in the mornings!

Have got one of those screw thingys to tether/ruin his fun whilst on-site. Puppy is very bouncy and would be nicking everyones sausages otherwise!

It had been suggested to me to put him in the car boot at night time.
He is quite comfy there but not sure what the RSPCA would have to say about it though...?
