Last minute panic - Help please!

Okay, went for the last bits before we go to Hesfes on Saturday.

Bought a fridge finally but have discovered we need some specially made part to adapt it from just functioning via the car cigarette lighter to using the campsite hook up. Aagh! Does anyone know how long I can run it off the lighter socket before my car battery dies?

Second thing is, although we have Hook Up booked we don't have the cable doo-dah as we have deliberated over this for too long and now Argos don't have any and no chance getting one from EBay in time.

Any ideas on this or, by some miracle, anyone have a spare they could loan to me (you'd have to be going to HESFES or near Bromley!) for a few quid.

go to Halfords and get one quick - they sell loads of camping stuff.

I've been told, by a campsite, that campsites generally hire out the indoor to outdoor adapters, so all you should need to bring would be an ordinary extension lead (the longest you've got). As for the coolbox, it may flatten your battery overnight or less. It's only really a good idea to power the box while driving. The best thing to do would be to take some ice blocks, some campsites will let you freeze them so take enough to have some in your box and some freezing so you can swap them over every day. Keep your icebox in the shadiest part of the tent.

Depending on what you want to take, you can freeze it all before you go, and pack it in a coolbox with some freezer blocks, it lasts a good while. You can freeze cartons of milk / juice, bread, packets of bacon and sausages, cheese, butter etc etc.
