Trying to persuade dh to come camping but he's not too keen at the moment but I'm still working on him.
If I do manage to persuade him what do I need?
Yes I know a tent, but what else? And where from?

And where's the best camp sites in cornwall

Hi, hope this web site helps you!

www.ukcampsite.co.uk/

There's absolutely tonnes of posts about camping, just go into TOPICS and scroll down to Camping, you'll find loads of help in there!!

Just for now though, you'll need:

sleeping bags/blow up beds/inflator
electric hook up lead (look in Argos)

battery lanterns/torches

cooking stove (I take my George Foreman Grill)
I've also got a two ring electric stove

pans/frying pan
coolbox/freezer blocks

small table/chairs
dustpan and brush (to sweep grass out of tent)

plastic plates
knives and forks
cooking utensils
candles (for sitting out in the evening)
or solar lights

If I think of anything else I'll post again!!

You've loads of fun to have!!

Oh, footballs for the kids,
frizbees

Dh ahted the idea of camping, he was a suite in Las vegas sort of guy, until he ran out of money. Then he realised he loves it and is a fully fledged addict! yay!

We don't bother with electric hool up, can't be arsed with it. neither do we have a table, but we may before the next trip. We just take crockery and cutlery, a smalls tove (recommend the camping gaz party grill as a cheap starter stove- it has a burner), readybeds for the two youngest, airbed and sleeping abg for eldest, airbed and duvet for us, pilows, towels, waterproofs JIC, clothes and camping chairs. Oh, and lanterns- important to get good lanterns. then we fill any available (not much) space with extra bedding.

pentewan sands is widely rumoured to be the bewst campsite in cornwall, but you'd have to be quick to geta pitch now.

look at essex camping for ideas, the ojes on there tend to be good value. gelert are called esyPitch, they amy have something that suits: try the major brands internet sites (vango gelert Outwell Khyam campus sunncamp) and order a catalogue from each. Much better to start this way IMHO

peachyClair · 19/06/2006 17:43

Oh tunnel, vis a vis or dome?

\link{http://www.besttents.co.uk/Business/productsbusiness/tents13.htm\ vis a vis tent}

\link{http://www.outdoorfocus.co.uk/tall_fibreglass_steel_tents/Gelert/Gelert_Lokon_Vario5_info.htm\ tunnel}

\link{http://www.tentsandcamping.co.uk/acatalog/Gelert.html\ dome ( scroll down to satellite or tahoms)

not suggestions, although you may find one you like, but shapes to start with.

Doa sk to see the tent apcked- we alsmost went for the vario until we saw the size- ours comes in a compact canvas suitcase, much easier as it is us, 3 kids, tent and equipment in proton persona, no trialer or roof box}
