I am taking my 8 month old camping this weekend for the first time. We are staying in a camping pod that has a power point, but nothing else. Can you wise people suggest a list of essentials to survive the trip?!

High chair made all the difference to us, although our dd was 15 months when we first took her. Just one of those cheapie Ikea ones. Meant she was the same height as us at our fold out camping picnic table. Also, when they're bigger it's somewhere to restrain entertain them

A small bag of carefully chosen toys, to keep the baby amused. Stacking cups are good, because they're compact and there are lots of different ways you can play with them.

More nappies than you think you will need (unless you will be near a shop so you can buy more if necessary).

Spare clothes so baby can crawl in the mud.

We took our eight month old camping for the first time this summer. It was great Smile

How did it go?

It was bloody brilliant. Dd had an absolute ball being entertained by all the other kids on the campsite. Weather was fab, she even went for her first bike ride! And to top it all, she slept through the night on the second night there - woohoo!
