Sleeping bags

We're going camping next week and previously we've just taken my 3 years olds bedding and thrown on layers and blankets however she's desperate for a sleeping bag. I just wondered what anyone else's children sleep in? A lot of the childrens sleeping bags seem thin and more suites to indoor sleepovers but maybe we just do the blankets and layer her up!
Any advice or help appreciated x

I am an outdoor gear snob, and I am very happy with the Vango extendable kids sleeping bag we got DS from Go Outdoors.

Alpkit adults and kids sleeping bags are excellent too.

I've got a DD of 2.7 who has been camping with us several times.
At the moment we take a travel cot and line it with an old (folded) single duvet. She then sleeps in a child-sized sleeping bag.

Sleeping bag is http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/camper-convertible-p179136 adjustable one (expands to accommodate a growing child), and very cosy.

I've just brought the go outdoors Hi Gear junior sleeping bag for DS (5) and their cheap adult mat to go under it. We've not tested it yet, but it's 2 seasons and looks like it will be fine for the summer months and beavers/cubs.

DD has the Gelert Sleeping Pod girls version. It is nice and roomy as she didn't like being zipped up in the slimmer ones. It seems warm enough for her and I always put a fleece blanket under her and if its cold she wears a sweatshirt material Onesie over her pjs. She is never cold.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I've been busy googling them all. I love the look of the gelert pod one as my DD is a wriggler when sleeping so might just give her enough room. What age do you think the pod sleeping bag goes up until? Trying to decide whether to go for the blue so my DS can have it after or go with the pink as I know she'd love it!

We have the Gelert kids bag that can extend. We are still using it zipped up as the small size for 4 yr old DD. It is a 'mummy' style shape and she loves it. She sleeps on a single airbed with fleece blanket under her. It's blue and grey if you see it on google.

DD is nearly 7 and nowhere near out of the gelert pod. I expect to get another 2 years at least out of it.
