Holmsley in the New Forest

Does anyone know of another lovely beach near to this site? We had planned to visit Studland, but it's 45 minutes drive away

We were there last week

We went to a lovely beach at Highcliffe. It's mostly pebbly but there are sandy spots, we found one and we were literally the only ones there, it was beautiful. There's easy parking at the top and then a 5 minute walk down. There are lots of other beaches around Christchurch, which is worth a visit - we found a lovely (free!) museum in the town called Red House that saved us from a boring morning in the rain . Bournemouth isn't too far either if you want somewhere more traditionally seaside-y.

Another fab day out is Moors Valley Country Park - it has a Gruffalo trail and the most amazing play areas

There's beaches in Lepe Country Park, but maybe that's 45 minutes from Holmsley too.

We went to Boscombe, can't remember how long it took but it didn't seem too long and was a lovely beach.
