Off to Green Man this weekend with two dds (4 & 5). Just checked the weather forecast and it's going to rain EVERY DAY. What can I take to minimise the misery? Black bin bags, wellies, lots of spare clothes, copious alcohol. What else? Am a little limited by what I can take, but grateful for any suggestions.

Somekind of large shelter (other than your tent!). Tarp and poles are the simplest and cheapest depending on your skill with rigging such things! So you aren't cooped up in the tent all the time you aren't out festivalling. And if you are with friends you can still hang out. Umbrellas. Waterproof trousers are the ultimate life saver once you get over the indignity of them!

Pop up gazebo and extra guy ropes and pegs, then you've somewhere to sit (tarp for groundsheet) that's out of the rain but not in the tent. Works well if you're going with friends as its a communal area with other's tents opening into it too.
Have the kids got rain suits? A quick trip to a trespass shop should sort out some all-in-ones for the kids, then with wellies they'll be grand. Extra food and snacks as when it's a bit chilly and rainy kids always want heaps more food.
Definitely more booze!

A credit card and the local hotel#s phone number? A clothes dryer if possible to stop the clothes going moldy?

Plenty of bags to put the wet stuff in, t layers for the kids & somewhere/something to hang the waterproofs on ready to go out again!

Have a fab time, my in laws live literally up the road from the Green Man and always wanted to go but it clashes with Beautiful Days ( we've packed every waterproof as well )

oh and make sure you see kings of convenience...

Yy to shit loads of bin bags. .... just sling all the wet stuff in them when you pack up and sort it out when you get home. ......
Our first festival experience with ds was total wash out weather wise but still had brilliant time - old bath towels were useful to use as as doormat in the entrance of the tent and soak up the inevitable drips that go inside when you unzip the door if its raining.....
Enjoy!
