Comrie Croft. Anyone been there?

We have booked for a couple of days in 3 weeks time. I am thinking of taking all of our bikes. Does anyone know whether there is good child friendly cycling from the door or nearby and is there secure bike storage? We have a 6 and 8 year old, both good cyclists but still little!

Yes, it's great! There are cycle paths from the campsite and around; as I remember the nearest are quite rough and uphill but smoother paths within a mile. We loved the friendly staff and the fact that you can light fires. Things like chunks of wood to sit on just lie around in a handy, chummy way. We had tinies so didn't actually cycle and I can't fill you in any more than that... hopefully someone more reliable will be able to help more, but I couldn't let this go by without a Yay as it's a favourite of ours!

Thank you. Glad to hear it. We have booked in to the farmhouse, but thinking I maybe should have taken the tent as it looks idyllic.

Can't help with the cycling as we didn't take bikes but we stayed there for a week 3 years ago with DSS 15, DS1 10 and DS2 6 and loved it. Watching the red kites and Osprey and listening to the deer at night.

We stayed in the top field and the views were amazing and due to the design and undulations of the field we could not actually see anyone else from our pitch. It was like wild camping but with toilet, showers and a shop!

The camp fires are fab (and keep the midges away!) and it's a really relaxed site.

We actually got the recommendation from Mumsnet. Have a lovely time Envy
