Just that really. Hoping to make use of the sales to pick up a family tent for 2 adults and 2 dcs, have been looking at 6 person ones to have a bit more space, and came across vango hampton 600 at a good price. Only trouble is I can't seem to find any reviews of it online which makes me wonder really! Prefer the tunnel style and this seems a reasonable size and price. Sorry can't seem to link on phone.

All advice appreciated, thanks!

Don't know about that one but I can recommend the Icarus 500 which sleeps 5. I think the 600 is similar but sleeps 6. We've just bought the canopy for longer camping trips.

hi again colouring Grin
Is it a renamed (sometimes large retailers do this?) version of a more popular tent? The reason I ask is because we also have one... ours is also the Vango Artemis, a few years old now. But it has a different name, totally forgetable and not Artemis Grin maybe take a look at Vango website and suss out floor plans? Fwiw we are on our third Vango (only swapped from #2 to #3 because of extra dc. (we still have #1 and it goes everywhere from cub camp to D of E, it's a little three man tent.) They are fantastic quality and very uncomplicated when it comes to pitching and striking. anyway, I'm off to hunt for the one you have named in the OP Smile

Haven't heard of the Hampton, but our vango is ten years old and still going strong after torrential downpours, gale force winds and mega sun. Best £79 ever spent ;)

Grin thanks Mrs now exploring the wonderful world of sleeping mats and bags. I am a crap sleeper and sleep deprivation is one of the main things that's put me off in the past, so think I might need to spend a bit to ensure some sleep...

Did you get buy the Hampton tent in the end? It may have been a new model on the market, hence no reviews. We bought a Vango Lomond 600 in April which was new out. Well pleased with it and it withstood 12 hours of constant heavy rain, so we know is waterproof.

ColouringInQueen · 09/08/2013 20:23

After mapping them out with string in the garden (!) have decided to go for vango icarus 600... v exciting... great to know your vango held up in some lovely weather!

We've got the Icarus 600 (£199 in Millets at the moment) & it's a great tent. You won't be disappointed!

ColouringInQueen · 10/08/2013 20:35

Oh thats great to hear snowballed thanks. Final decision is blue one from millets or green one from cotswolds! Is there a general trend towards green tents at the mo?!

MrsBottesini · 11/08/2013 00:54

ColouringInQueen · 11/08/2013 21:44

Very impressed with our 600, first time I've ever been warm at night, while camping, with just a sleeping bag (kicked off the duvet).
