My outwell leaked!!!

We're back a day early as the forecast for tomorrow is so bad. On Friday night there was an amazing thunder and lightning storm and three separate deluges of rain spread across about 90 minutes - think torrential!
By the end the roof of my outwell Montana 6 was dripping really badly and I was mopping the floor constantly.
Thankfully our beds and stuff stayed dry so we carried on.
It has since withstood heavy showers so I think Friday was an unusual and unlucky situation but what can I do? Is there some kind f treatment I can apply? It was the fabric, not the seams across one of the midsections.
I bought it on eBay but think its only a coupe of years old.

Most tents have a threshold of how.much water they can keep out which is why it was ok after it leaked. Go to a camping shop and you be able to buy a aerosol for water proofing it again. We used to do this especially on the seams every few yrs.

I guess you have just reached saturation point where the fabric just cant cope anymore.

It happened to us in Devon last year, our trusted 3000 hh family tent had drips of water coming through one day but it had rained in sheets for about 12 hours.

I am sure if you spray your tent next time you can put it up on a dry day it will be fine.

Good luckSmile
