Icey -Tek problem...

Have lovely orange 25l icey-tek which worked really well for week in Dorset however the wine I had frozen as an icepack- (still cold a week later) was revolting.....just did sainsburys own chardonnay but it tasted hideous - I like a dry wine but this was paint stripper even adding lemonade ...
anyone any recommendations for wine that freezes well -? would rose do better??
or is it freezing that made it taste horrible - its v expensive for an iceblock....

Have you had this wine before? Maybe it usually tastes like paint stripper! I've done this with pinot grigio and it treated the same as it always does..

Yes had tried it before in a bottle rather than box not sure if that would make a difference.....not amazing but not grim
