We all loved it...sooo fab soo excited we have already planned again for mid july. We went to shell island and it was lovely. DD slept sooo much better than at home. Ds ran around like a loon enjoying all the space and sunshine cant wait to go again. Although we will need to save and buy a bigger tent

So glad you enjoyed Shell Island nemo, we went for the day over Whit, it was like the Sahara desert, sooooo windy on the beach but stunning setting.

Was it really busy? Did the tides catch you out at all?

\link{http://www.shellisland.co.uk/\Here is their website} in case anyone else fancies it! Grin

Grin

I've lived here 8 years and I had to double check the betws spelling.

It looks really nice. Do you stay on the island itself?

LucyCampCat · 11/06/2006 19:35

Yes, you drive over a sort of causeway and it's rolling fields set behind the sand dunes where you just pitch where you fancy!

Fillyjonk · 11/06/2006 19:39

ooooh....

It is fantastic.
Lucycat luckily we never got caught out but ds loved it crab fishing etc have gorgeous pic of him with his 4 baby crabs in his bucket. Although as you said on the saturday it was very windy but was a blessing due to the heat.

Ooh, was it nice? What fabulous weather. We're meant to be going to shell island next weekend...BUT my friend is worried that it will be full of chavs - i take it that it wasn't?

Nemo1977 · 12/06/2006 11:40

mazzy it was fine..a few chavish people but that will probably have been down to the football aswell...beauty of shell island is that you can pitch in some fab fab excluded plots especially if you are going with other people.
