Ok we are going camping tommorow...off to buy the stove/grill from argos but dont understand where I get the cylinders from for the gas. Says I can use a 904 or 907 cylinder but where do I get it and how much will it be?

We bought ours from a camping shop, it's a big cylinder, and it wasn't cheap as you neeed the regulator and clips too. We bought it as part of a package with the cooker so can't remember how much it was.

Where are you going? If the place where you are going has a decent camp shop on site, it might be worth giving them a ring to see
if they have them in stock and can put one on one side for you, they are very heavy!

We visited Shell Island last week,(is that where you are going?) it's really windy so if you have a wind break then take one and remember to park the car to shelter your tent from the wind!!

We are going camping next week for the first time. We bought a duel fuel cooker so that we don't have to carry a gas cylinder around. We do need a jerrycan though.

They are also supposed to be alot more powerful than gas.

Garages sometimes sell them as well - you'll see a big cage full outside.

If I remember rightly (haven't used camping gaz for years!), they are, as Lucycampcat says, expensive to buy, but not so expensive to replace as you swap your old one for a full one.

Have a fab time Nemo!

It will be Benllech - lovely beach, good fish and chip shop on the main road, take them down the hill to the beach, there are some picnic benches on the grass opposite the beach - fab!

Is there a camping shop you could phone near you? Obviously they won't sell it online, well i can't find it, but a shop that stocks Calor Gas will know.

DH has just gone for a trek around town to millets and blacks to see what he can find and is getting the stove too.
