Can recommend Croyde in N Devon - we always stay at Ruda Park site which is minutes from the beach and Croyde itself (several pubs, boutiques/surfer dude type shops). Where are you though and what would be off the beaten track for you?

I'm in the Midlands, so North Devon would be OK. Dh will need access to the motorway, any idea how far from the motorway Croyde is?

Actually, we've been to Woolacombe before and that was lovely...

Searle's at Hunstanton is right next to the beach and has lots of activities for kids - it's a bit Butlins-like but the kids seem to love it and the loos etc are really clean

ooh, thirtysomething, we went to Seales once and it was awful! The toilets were filthy, the pitches cramped....perhaps we just caught them at a bad time, I think it might have been August bank hol actually! Thanks for the suggestion though!
