Just So Festival?

Our summer holiday plans look like they are going to fall through so I am thinking of going to this - has anyone been/going this year? I don't like crowds/queues as it gets too stressful so thought this might be better than Camp Bestival.

Yep, we got our tickets straight after last year's Just So - it was our first festival and we loved every minute (even when it bucketted down).

Lots of fun stuff to do and see and the festival is held in the lovely grounds of Rode Hall.

Some great food stalls, reasonably priced, and the best ever ice cream from Ginger's Emporium (I had to find a peanut butter & salted caramel ice cream recipe after tasting it there).

It's quite small as festivals go and I'm a bit agoraphobic but didn't feel stressed as there's loads of space

I have been twice, it is a great festival for children and the music was great for the grown ups too. It's nice and small but there is loads to do. Take solar fairy lights for your tent so you can find it in the dark and loads of glow sticks, bubbles and fancy dress. My boys spent the weekend as pirates and my girls as fairies. The children had a great time. If we lived closer we would be going again this year but DH has too much work on and it's just too far for me to take the four children on my own. If you have a wagon it would be a lifesaver not only to cart the kids around the site but also for transporting the tent to and from the camping field.

I thought it was OK, but very overpriced for what was on offer. Better for preschoolers, my older 2 were bored. My sister wanted me to go again this year, but I've persuaded her to come to Edinburgh instead!

We went last year, and aren't bothering again. It's hard to put my finger on why, exactly, only that out of all the stuff we did last summer, JustSo seemed to give the 'least good' return of fun for the money spent. It's OK, but there are a lot of things we can do with that rather substantial amount of cash that are better than 'OK'.
