Hi
I'm looking for a small campsite in the New Forest - must have toilets and be doggy friendly, any recommendations? This will be my first camping trip with 3 dcs...I'm not a natural camper.....!

I've never checked if you can take dogs into the forestry commission campsites, but they are lovely. I think the website is something like campingintheforest.co.uk. There are several in the new forest.

Try Hollands wood. It's a forestry commission site. You can take dogs on it and the facilities are clean and plentiful. The only thing is it is quite large but probably the best site for a non-camper. Plenty to do nearby.

I've just camped at Roundhill campsite. It's not particularly small but toilets/showers /washing facilities were good and there wee lots of ponies

Hollands wood. It gets crowded in the summer but toilets and showers are clean. Don't think there's any ehu but they will refreeze ice blocks for you and they sell bread/croissants in the mornings.

You get ponies trotting through the campsite. And make sure all food is in boxes with lids or the squirrels will be in your tent!

We've stayed at Hollands Wood and Roundhill, liked them both. Going in school holidays for the first time to Hollands Wood next month.
