Never been there camping, but there are some excellent campsite, have a shufti on UKcampsite.co.uk, they have some reviews

Sorry can't help you, but didn't want you to feel isolated on the german thread. Have you tried UKCampsite, they have a continental camping section which may be of some use.

The only camping I've done in Germany was in 1990 when dh and I were students inter-railing. We stayed in the busiest campsite in Munich and found it very wet! I also remember there was a good one in Cologne, just across the river and a couple of tram stops from the City Centre.

Keep bumping this!

Thanks martian & lucy. Have done a search on UKCampsite and they only had one German campsite listed.

Maybe I will contact the German tourist board or just do google search on German campsites, but MNers opinions are usually a good indicator for me.

keycamp and carvas have sites in Germany. Have a shufti at their websites, and then search for the campsite webpage....if that makes sense! Smile

Just had a look at the link you provided, LCC and that gives me more than enough to be going on with for starters. You are a sweetheart doing a search for me, thanks again.

Maybe I should spend more of my time over at the UKCampsite board. (I am a member there tooGrin)
