Do you have a motorhome?
If so how do you go on about seatbelts?

We've been looking round to buy one & notice that most only have seatbelts fitted in the two driving cab seats, no matter how many they are made to sleep. Is this legal? How do you go on about the Dcs?
The salesman seemed to be nonplussed when we asked.

Hi. Not sure about all motor homes we have a VW type 5 conversion.
Basically the rules depend on how old the van as to what you need legally however the safest way to travel is forward facing with 3 point seatbelts which are properly attatched to the structure of the van (and appropriate car seat)and on crash tested seats (not all rock and roll beds in the small motor homes are crash tested). We have appropriate seatbelts but do not have a crash tested back seat in our van and are looking at upgrading for this reason.

There are plenty of VW forums with threads regarding this if you want to search. Regarding the bigger motor homes I am not sure.

Suspect you can get them fitted after if not included originally.
Traveller Friends have belts in theirs not that they always get used.

Thank you for replying.
We've been round some other places today & some did have seatbelts on the passenger seats.
Feeling a bit punch drunk at the moment with all the different layouts!
