Really quiet campsite needed in the south of england (not too far Sw or SE though)

I'm looking for a really soothing quiet campsite, with no parties and no disturbances. It would be quite nice if it was in walking distance of a decent pub, but more essential is quiet!
Dont need electric hook up but do like clean loos.

Any thoughts please?

(ps. Did I mention, I really want some quiet? )

What exactly do you mean by quiet - as in no club house etc or as in no kids? It could be a lovely quiet campsite with no rowdy groups or bar or any of that nonsense, but anywhere that kids are running wild is bound to generate a bit of noise!

Have you had a look at www.ukcampsite.co.uk/ - I always check their reviews and ratings and haven't been let down yet

I have Sirchen, but sometimes even their reviewers get it wrong and weve been stung before.
No rowdy groups and lots of space between pitches so our guylines arent tangled up with kids running through our pitch.

I'm not normally so anti-social but am on shredded nerves at the moment.

www.kittscamp.co.uk is supposed to be nice and although I have never been, it's on my list. I'm not sure it would be REALLY quiet though - not sure where is really quiet in the SE.

welsummercamping.com is good and also quiet. It's divided into a couple of "garden" areas and then there is a field which as not in use when we went last August. I think Blu or Quenelle have been there when the field was in use though and may be able to tell you more.

Is Bedgebury too far for you? There's a fab campsite called Bedgebury Camping near to Bedgebury Pinetum. We camp loads and this is definitely one of the best (imo). It's not far from Bodium Castle and there's a lovely pub which does great food right near it

Just outside Southampton is the new campsite at Fairthorne Manor that just opened last week. No EHU but there are showers and toilets. It's probably not within walking distance of a pub but there are loads within driving distance. It's in a lovely location.

Let us know how you get on OhYouBadBadKitten? Know what you mean about the nerve thing, and I do admit to spending time worrying about who we might end up pitched next to every time we go camping!

Normans Bay Camping & Caravanning Club site might fit the bill - popular with families but not rowdy and walking distance from a nice country pub, as well as right next to the beach.

We've ermmm, decided to look at Snowdon which is rather out of the remit at the beginning of the thread!

Crikey! Well, Black Rock Sands campsite should fit the bill in that neck of the woods.

Kittscamp as above is great - woods nearby and fire pits. They were full on bank holiday and sent us to sister camp Fair Oaks Farm (3 miles east - still south downs). Lovely, fires allowed, bluebell woods next to field, portaloos, sites very well spaced apart (100yards ish)
