cheap campsite as in pay-per-pitch rather than pay-per-person

Ok, there are a lot of us (7 to be precise, plus a dog, although one of the seven is only a baby so some places won't charge for him).

There's no way I can afford a tenner an adult and a fiver per child which seems to be something like a going rate at the moment.

I'm sure I've paid per-pitch before now.

Help me out! We're wanting a campsite that will take us with our folding caravan (so, not very caravanny- I managed to persuade a campsite that didn't take caravans but did take trailer tents to let us on last summer) over May half term, that's within 1.5hrs of NE London (OH has to nip back to take a service halfway through the week, more's the pity, and says it's too important to get cover for).

If anyone knows of anywhere, you will!

How about this one in Weymouth? www.osmingtoncampsite.co.uk/camping.html

This one is only £17 per couple, then £1 per extra person/ dog. www.shrublandsfarm.com/camping-and-caravanning Have not been there but have it saved on a short list cos of price, is just outside Cromer and is walkable to the beach

Ooh, cheap, cheap! (That one outside Cromer is a fiver cheaper without ehu, which we don't want anyway.)

But- too far. Bother.

Join the Camping and Caravanning Club and pitch up at their certificated sites for around a tenner a pitch!!

The Caravan Club itself has even better certificated locations but you might have to convince them that you do actually have a caravan Smile
